Here is some feedback from students and parents 😊

Jonathan is an incredible piano teacher, and just as a person in general. I have been with him for 5 years so far, and I’m not even considering stopping! In this time I have never felt pressured to do any specific pieces, and he’s let me pursue my favourite genres and pieces. He does not force grades, though he will encourage them (I have done 4 grades so far and the experience was great). If you decide to do grade, he always lets you pick the piece you want to play. He is an amazing piano player and learns most of the pieces quickly so you can choose them. And, what I love most of all, is that I could pick different pieces to learn. For example, I am currently learning a piece I chose! All in all, he is a really awesome piano teacher and I would 110% recommend him to anyone, even if they have no interest in piano!

Olivia had started piano lessons at a piano school when she was aged 11 but quickly gave up as she couldn’t follow the teachers instructions and became very frustrated and disillusioned. Then, by chance we came across Jonathan’s details and Olivia has been a student of Jonathan’s now for the last 5 years!
Jonathan is a very talented teacher who is incredibly patient and professional delivering quality lessons every week. His instructions are clear and precise and easy to follow allowing Olivia to work through any problems in between lessons.
He has had the ability to transform a 12 year old with no musical experience and low self-esteem, into a confident 17 year old student with a genuine love for playing the piano.

I highly recommend Jonathan as a piano teacher. He is patient, kind, and incredibly understanding. I’ve been learning with him for a while now, and he has really helped me grow in both confidence and skill. Thanks to his guidance, I’ve gained a solid understanding of the basics of piano playing. I’m currently preparing for my Grade 2 exam, and with Jonathan’s support, I feel confident that I’ll continue to improve in both playing and reading music.

Jonathan is a good teacher. He will get you learning piano quickly. He makes it enjoyable every week.
– Ed, age 10

From a young age I have always wanted to play piano, but never really got the opportunity. So, at 76 years of age I thought it about time I learned. I searched locally for a tutor and found Jonathan…. and, following a conversation, was offered a ‘trial’ lesson.
Having no technical knowledge I was rather nervous, as I knew Jonathan was an accomplished pianist and I knew nothing. However, I need not have worried, as with his patient and calming manner, my nerves quickly subsided.
I continued for an hour each week and, in a little over 12 months, from nothing, I was able to read music and play several tunes from a song book, which were alien to me, along with a few ad-hoc favourites of my own.
I would not hesitate to recommend Jonathan to anyone else looking to learn piano.

Jonathan has been teaching both my sons for the past 5 years. He is an excellent teacher. He is kind and patient with them, working at their pace. He works with their individual personalities and forms positive relationships. He has encouraged both boys to perform publicly, developing their confidence. I cannot recommend him more highly.
– Caroline

My son started piano lessons at age of seven as a complete beginner and Jonathan worked very well and patiently with him. Jonathan’s approach and style is very flexible and adaptive. He would change the Piano books according to my son’s ability to learn and his interest in specific style of music.
Jonathan is very patient with my son’s quizitive style, and has followed a very structured approach to ensure he is progressing as expected. Jonathan has also guided my son to take Piano grading exam very well.
I highly recommend Jonathan as a great Piano teacher at any stage of learning.
– Negin

I am one of Jonathan’s students and I can gladly say I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy my lessons with him. He is very patient and works to your ability whilst pushing and help you improve. Jonathan has an extensive knowledge of music. Any questions are promptly answered.
– Abigail, age 17

Abigail started learning the Piano when she was in Primary School. I sat in on her lessons for years and because of that I can thoroughly recommend.

Jonathan is an absolutely amazing piano teacher, and a lovely person to be taught by! I’ve been having lessons with him for ≈ 10 years, from when I had never played before to doing Grade 8 this summer, and the learning process has only become more and more enjoyable over the years. Jonathan has been fantastic for vastly improving my technical abilities at piano, but also importantly places focus on the enjoyment of playing, which has led to me loving piano – and music in general – as an integral part of my life. I cannot recommend him more, for anyone looking into piano lessons at any level!
